Snow Bote, LPN – We’re Like a Big Family!

Snow BoteSynodia, who goes by Snow, Bote is a licensed practical nurse, or LPN, at Penacook Place in Haverhill, Mass. She is originally from Zimbabwe and relocated to the U.S. in 2000 when she was 31 years old — and she’s worked at Penacook Place for the last 23 years.

“In Zimbabwe, I worked at a bank,” chuckles Snow. “However, I have always had a passion for helping people. When I arrived here, I learned there was a great need for certified nursing assistants, or CNAs, and I thought the job would be a great fit for me, so I immediately began work on my certification.”

After several years, Snow was ready to take the next step in her nursing career and began attending Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Mass. to earn her LPN certification.

Snow has stayed with Penacook Place for more than two decades for three distinct reasons. She shares, “In my role, I get to do a little bit of everything. I help with admissions, distribute medication and do bedside nursing. I really enjoy how diverse my job is. I also love caring for the residents. We’re always visiting and laughing. Finally, I’m very happy to be working with an exceptional group of co-workers who really care about our residents and one another. I work in a positive and supportive environment. We’re all like a big family and I’m grateful for that.”
